Description
snake entwined around the tip, with his tongue indicating the time on two rotating dials. The urn is mounted to a substantial fluted base with 4 large acanthus swags, the whole mounted to a octagonal white marble plinth on an ormolu sub base and 4 turned bun feet. The movement is wound from the rear, horizontally, near the base of the clock. There is loss of gilding on the fluted base, however it is still attractive. Strikes on a bell. Height 19 inches
